The mission of our congregation is to express love for God and all people by bringing those who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ into eternal fellowship with Him.

We express love for God not out of guilt, fear or obligation, but simply because God has saved us through Jesus and called us to a new life in Him. Everything we do as Christians is a grateful response to God’s love.

This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. (1 John 4:10-11)

This gift of a new life is God's gracious gift for all people who honor Jesus and want to grow in their walk with Him.

After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb." (Revelation 7:9-10)

We invite you to begin or strengthen this personal relationship with Jesus through private prayer, by learning more about Him, by worshipping Jesus with others, by receiving His gifts of Baptism and Communion, and by serving Him with us in Grand Prairie and the world.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. (Romans 12:1-2)

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me." (Matthew 19:14)Q:  What is a "Lutheran"?

A:  Lutherans are simply Christians who a) believe we are made right with God completely because of what Jesus did for us, and b) believe that the Bible is God's complete, inspired, perfect Word for our lives.  We are called "Lutheran" Christians because these two important ideas were championed by a man named Martin Luther, a famous reformer of the church.

Q:  What are your worship services like?

A:  In worship we use a traditional structure each week which includes important elements like the Lord's Prayer, the Apostle's Creed, readings, and more.  We use both traditional hymns played on the organ and more modern worship songs played on the piano and other instruments as we honor God in worship.  Worship services last about an hour long.  Professional childcare (for children ages 0-5) is offered every Sunday.

Q:  Can't I know Jesus and be just as healthy a believer on my own?

A:  Frankly, the most important part of your life as a disciple of Jesus is private and personal... between you and Him.  But God in His Word encourages all followers of Jesus to meet together to support, encourage, teach, and pray for one another.  That's why we meet in worship and other times throughout the week.
